February Acupuncture Board Licensure Exam Reuslt

California Acupuncture Board licensure examination was held on February 10, 2011 at the Ontario Convention Center, California. There were six (6) graduates of Alhambra Medical University attended the exam. All of them passed the licensure exam. Our passing rate of February 10, 2011 CA Acupuncture Board licensure is 100%. AMU has had two consecutive 100% passing rate of CA Acupuncture licensure exam.

2011年2月10日於加州 Ontario Convention Center 所舉辦的加州針灸師證照考試，仁愛醫科大學有六位畢業生參與考試，全部通過考試，獲取證照資格。本校加州考照錄取率連續兩屆為100%，百分之百。

There were three (3) graduates of Alhambra Medical University attended the exam. All of them passed the licensure exam. Our passing rate of August 2010 CA Acupuncture Board licensure is 100%.

今年8月10日於加州 Sacramento Convention Center 所舉辦的加州針灸師證照考試，仁愛醫科大學有三位畢業生參與考試，全部通過考試，獲取證照資格。此次本校考照錄取率為100%，百分之百。

California Acupuncture Board licensure examination was held on February 16, 2010 at the Convention Center of Ontario, California. There were eight (8) graduates of Alhambra Medical University attended the exam. Seven (7) of them passed the licensure exam. Our passing rate of Feb 2010 CA Acupuncture Board licensure is 88%.

The official statistic data will be posted at the website of California Acupuncture Board after the Board Meeting of May 6, 2010.

今年二月16日於加州 Ontario Convention Center 所舉辦的加州針灸師證照考試，仁愛醫科大學有八位畢業生參與考試，其中七名通過考試，獲取證照資格。此次本校考照錄取率為 88%；中文班錄取率為 100%。正式的錄取數據資料將會於五月六日，在加州針灸局官方網頁上宣佈。

Tuina/acupressure is often performed not only as part of a treatment but as a good preventative modality.

What is Acupuncture and how does it work?

Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and to improve functioning. This is done by inserting hair-thin sterilized disposable needles and applying heat or electrical stimulation at very precise acupuncture points. The classical Chinese explanation of how acupuncture works is that the hair-thin-needles can influence the energy channels (meridians) which run in regular patterns through the body, nourishing the tissues.

The acupuncture needles unblock obstructions and promote the regular flow of energy (Qi) through these channels. Acupuncture treatments can therefore harmonize the body's internal organs to correct imbalances in their digestion, absorption, and energy production activities, and in the circulation of their energy through the meridians. One modern scientific explanation of how acupuncture works is that needling the specific trigger points stimulates the peripheral and central nervous system to release chemicals which may change the experience of pain, improve energy, or influence the body's internal regulating system. Therefore, acupuncture enhances the body’s natural healing abilities and promotes physical and emotional well- being.
