The primary objective of Alhambra Medical University’s Asian Bodywork Certificate program is to train competent practitioners in the art and science of Asian style massage therapy. To accomplish this, students will learn through expanding eclectic techniques to achieve their desired certification goal.

The Asian Bodywork Certificate Program includes two sections: Asian Bodywork Technician (350 hours training) and Asian Bodywork Therapist (650 hours training). A graduate of the Asian Bodywork Therapist Section is eligible to sit for the national certificate examination conducted by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Body Work (NCBTMB).

1. All applicants must be a minimum 18 years of age.
2. Submit a completed and signed AMU application along with a US$50.00 non-refundable application fee.
3. A completed and signed AMU Enrollment Agreement
4. Copy of your Original High School diploma or GED, sent directly to the AMU Office of Admission.
5. Provide two recent color headshot photographs no larger than 2” x 2”.
6. Be interviewed by the Director of Admission or an Admission Counselor.
